Biography
Cirque Jean Richard was established in 1957 by circus performer, animal trainer, actor and theme park entrepreneur Jean Richard with the help of the Gruss family.
Jean Richard enjoyed success in all aspects of his working life and in 1972 he bought Cirque Pinder, the most renowned and biggest French circus. By 1976, he created Nouveau Cirque Jean Richard, which was renamed Cirque Medrano with permission of Jerome Medrano. Richard retired from acting in 1990 and died in 2001.

Programmes for Circus Pinder, Jean Richard Circus, Pinder Jean Richard Circus, Pinders Royal Circus and Menagerie, Pinder's New International Circus, Pinder's Grand Imperial Circus and Pinders Big Zoo Circus containing colour illustrations and photographs on the front covers, inside black and white and colour photographs of perfomers and acts with some text including Koringa and Rogana, introduction, programme and commercial advertising.
