Biography

The Bristol Hippodrome is a Grade II listed theatre, which opened on 16 December 1912. The theatre was designed by Frank Matcham for Oswald Stoll and included a 100,000 gallon water tank at the front of the stage and one of the largest stages outside London.

The Hippodrome has continued to present musicals, concerts and variety and music hall entertainments throughout his history and still continues operating in the twenty first century.
