Biography
Paultons Park is an amusement park located in the New Forest National Park, Hampshire, England. The park is named after his historic owner John de Palton, on whose estate the park is situated. After changing ownership through the decades, the mansion became derelict in 1963 after a devastating fire. In 1979, the property was acquired by John and Anne Mancey, who restored the gardens and lake and opened the estate to the public as a country park and bird garden in 1983.
The park covered 140 acres of land and held a collection of birds and animals as well as an adventure playground and the Village Life Museum. Over the following decades the park has continued to develop to include a Railway Station, Tea Rooms, the Magic Forest, Peppa Pig World, The Lost Kingdom and many other facilities, rides and entertainments.
Paultons continues to serve its family audience in the twenty first century under the management of the second generation of the Mancey family with Richard Mancey as Director.
